About Us

The SSEM, or Student Society of Emergency Medicine, is an emergency medicine interest group formed and maintained by medical students at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.  Whether you’re just curious about the specialty, or you’ve already made up your mind, we are here to help equip you with the information and resources you need to make the right decisions down the road.

Anyone can attend the meetings but paying dues will get you a few more perks:
$40 for 4 years and a t-shirt

$15/year, $10/t-shirt
